Infront secures ABT as Official Car Partner of the Vierschanzentournee

Zug, Switzerland / Kempten, Germany 16 November 2011 – ABT Sportsline, the globally largest tuner of cars produced by the Volkswagen Group, is to become Official Car Partner of the Vierschanzentournee ski jumping series. The new agreement coincides with the 60th anniversary of the event held at the famous ski jumping locations of Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany and Innsbruck and Bischofshofen, Austria. The contract with Infront Sports & Media - marketing partner of the Vierschanzentournee - was signed yesterday in Kempten, Germany.

As Official Car Partner, the company with headquarters in Kempten in the German Allgäu region, will be comprehensively present around the four ski jumping events. An ABT Touareg Nordic Edition vehicle will be positioned with high visibility in the finishing area and will be provided to the overall winner of the Vierschanzentournee for a half-year period. Furthermore, the company receives attractive advertising opportunities in TV relevant areas. At the end of the hill, the ski jumpers wait for their opponent’s result on a comfortable chair in ABT wheels design.

In order to guarantee smooth and effective operations at the four venues, the Official Car Partner is providing ten VW Multivan vehicles. “Mobility is an extremely important element for the team. We are happy to help at this point,” said Hans-Juergen Abt. In return, the car refining specialist can use the newly designed Vierschanzentournee brand for corporate communication purposes.

The opening event of the Vierschanzentournee takes place on 29 and 30 December at the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf - only a 30 km distant from ABT’s headquarters. It will be followed by the events in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Grosse Olympiaschanze), Innsbruck (Bergiselschanze) and Bischofshofen (Bergiselschanze) between 31 December and 6 January.
